WIAW, but really what I ate Tuesday

Started out healthy, ended really not healthy. That definitely happens sometimes.

Homemade. Sticking with my goal. See how the lid has coffee all over it?? Welcome to driving on the 405. It’s a strategic process drinking coffee in the car. I sometimes have to wait until I get on the smoother 105 to sip, but that requires 15 minutes in the car at 6:30am with NO coffee. Clean clothes or warm caffeine??

Whole grain pancake from the hospital cafeteria (really good actually!) + some PB 

Blueberries + Pomegranate from home. I’m a big fan of bringing some healthy additions to add to a store/cafeteria bought meal.

Grilled Chicken Breast + Swiss+ Light Tzatziki + Mixed Greens + Ciabatta

Baby Carrots (from home)

Eh, it tasted like hospital food. The greens were bad, so I had to take them off, & I probably only had 1/2 the bread. It was disproportionate to the amount of chicken!

I went straight from work to teach BodyPump in Redondo Beach so I packed this trail mix in the am to munch in the car. I had some of it BUT I decided to yelp coffee houses in Redondo because I had a bit of time to kill before class…

The ocean is so rough! It was super windy, but so beautiful out. It was fun to walk around the marina.

Then I ventured into the gym…

Yep, outdoor swimming pool at the gym. You’re looking at the pool, the marina, and the ocean.

View from my class!! I literally watched the sunset during the abs track of BodyPump.

So then I met up with some friends for a bite to eat in Redondo Beach. Yelp again helped us out.

The Standing Room 

Literally, there was only standing room. It was this sandwich/burger place inside of a liquor store. It had stellar reviews though so we checked it out!

 The Charlotte

Pulled Pork Carnitas + Hoisin BBQ + Bacon + Carmelized Onion + Habenero Cream Coleslaw + Sliced Brioche

WOW. It was good, but we all agreed these were some heavy duty sammies. Like, I’ve had a couple of drinks on a Saturday afternoon & now I need some greasy food kind of sammies.

Definitely outstanding flavor though! I finished about 1/2 of this and gave the rest to the boy in the group who happily finished it.

Then since we were at a liquor store, we had some fun buying some scratchers. I lost. But, we bought a powerball ticket for kicks, since it just started in CA. Maybe my life will change tomorrow…

Since it was a local brand, we HAD to try…

We split an oatmeal raisin one. Yum :)

I’m sure I forgot something that I nibbled on but that is most of it. This is a great example of why it is important to start your day off right. You never know what will come up later on. I was not planning on getting another cup of coffee & I wasn’t even planning on eating out until pretty last minute.

Now, I wonder what I’ll actually eat on Wednesday. Definitely eating dinner at home! Hopefully more veggies than yesterday.
